Guåhan Sustainable Culture has introduced a new program called Ginen I Halom Tåno’, aimed at enhancing community resilience by harvesting wild food resources. This initiative comes in response to the ongoing threat posed by feral pigs to agriculture and
sustainable land use across Guam. The program is designed to equip local residents with the necessary skills and knowledge to protect their land, contribute to food security, and engage in environmental stewardship. The initiative is centered around the Guåhan Sustainable Culture Food Resiliency Hub, which spans 50 acres and is dedicated to regenerative agriculture. Michelle Crisostomo, Co-Executive Director of Guåhan Sustainable Culture, emphasized the program's potential to empower the community in safeguarding their environment and ensuring food availability.
