What's Happening?
The NFL annually nominates high school coaches for the Don Shula NFL Coach of the Year Award, named after the legendary coach Don Shula. Each of the 32 NFL clubs selects a coach based on values such as character,
integrity, leadership, and community dedication. The award recognizes two winners, one from each conference, who will be announced before the Pro Bowl Games. These winners receive VIP access to the Pro Bowl Games, attend Super Bowl LVIII, and are honored at NFL Honors. Additionally, the NFL Foundation and Nike provide a $15,000 award for their high school football programs and a $10,000 cash award. The other nominees receive a $1,000 cash award.
