The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with First Secure Bank and Will County Crime Stoppers, has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges in a case involving animal abuse linked to dog fighting.
The investigation centers around six dogs found dead in unincorporated Crete Township, Illinois. The dogs, aged between 9 months and 1.5 years, showed signs of having been involved in dog fighting, such as bite marks. The bodies were discovered on March 3 by highway maintenance workers in trash bags along a ditch.
