The BlueComm 200 is an advanced optical communication system designed for high-speed, wireless data transfer in underwater environments. Utilizing LED-based optical transmission and photomultiplier tube
detection, it achieves data rates between 2.5 and 10 Mbps at distances up to 150 meters. This system is optimized for low-light or deep-water conditions, providing transfer speeds significantly faster than traditional acoustic systems. BlueComm 200 is available in two configurations, catering to operations in both dark and illuminated environments. Its energy-efficient design allows for the transfer of over nine gigabytes of data on a single Lithium D cell, making it ideal for mission-critical applications in autonomous, crewed, and hybrid marine systems.
