Robert Melvin 'Bob' Hawker, a long-time resident of Marshall, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on July 27, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on September 2, 1935, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Bob was a dedicated family man and a respected professional
in the field of accounting. He graduated from Milan High School and Cleary College with a degree in accounting, eventually retiring as the Chief Financial Officer of the Federal Home Life Insurance Company in Battle Creek, Michigan. After retirement, Bob and his wife Betty moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico, where he actively participated in community service with Habitat for Humanity and pursued his passion for restoring farm tractors. The couple traveled extensively across the United States, visiting all 50 states. Bob is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
