The resort will include three branded residences and public spaces across three villas, each offering views of the surrounding mountains and lake. Construction is expected to begin after final planning approvals, with the resort slated to open in late 2028. The project is owned by the Putter Fund and developed by Kervis SGR, an Italian real estate investment manager.
Why It's Important?
The development of Corinthia Lake Como represents a significant investment in the luxury hospitality sector in Italy, particularly in the iconic and supply-constrained destination of Lake Como. This project is expected to enhance the region's appeal as a high-end tourist destination, potentially boosting local tourism and the economy. The resort's focus on integrating with the natural landscape and offering unique amenities like a lakefront club aligns with current trends in luxury travel, where experiential and sustainable tourism is increasingly valued. The involvement of established entities like Corinthia Hotels and Kervis SGR underscores the project's potential impact on the luxury market.
What's Next?
Following the final planning approvals, construction of the Corinthia Lake Como is anticipated to commence, with operations targeted for late 2028. The development is likely to attract attention from luxury travelers and investors, potentially influencing future hospitality projects in the region. Stakeholders, including local businesses and tourism authorities, may prepare for the anticipated increase in visitors and economic activity. The project's progress will be closely monitored by industry observers, given its potential to set new standards in luxury resort offerings.
