Jackie, a bald eagle that gained international fame through a live nest camera in California, has died after weeks of medical treatment following an illness. Jackie was rescued on July 17 after reportedly being involved in a fight with two other eagles.
Despite receiving intensive care, including a blood transfusion and oxygen therapy, Jackie passed away at the Ojai Raptor Center. Her remains are now with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
