North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has announced enhancements to the Korean People's Air Force (KPAF) with new strategic military assets. During a ceremony marking the KPAF's 80th anniversary, Kim inspected
the latest unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), fighter aircraft with new missiles, an airborne warning and control system (AWACS) platform, and mobile missile launchers. The KPAF showcased two armed Saetbyol-9 multirole UAVs and a Saetbyol-4 reconnaissance UAV. The Saetbyol-9 UAVs are equipped with electro-optical and satellite-guided glide weapons, indicating advancements in North Korea's military technology.
