James Robert Eder, a resident of Mundelein, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Oak Park on October 14, 1951, Eder is survived by his wife of 51 years, Caroline Eder, siblings Tom Eder and Joan Lang, children
Michael Eder and Jessica Carlson, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Harriett Eder, and siblings Margaret Healy, Susan Scott Tomasovich, and Carole Sabella. Eder earned an associate degree in business from Triton College and retired after a 22-year career at ONEAC. Known for his love of the Chicago Bears and White Sox, Eder enjoyed boating, hunting, baking cookies, and telling jokes. A memorial service is scheduled at the family home on November 25, 2025.
