Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) has been conditionally selected to receive a $215,314 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This funding, provided through the Section 243 Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education Program,
aims to support LCCC's efforts in offering integrated English literacy and civics education opportunities to eligible adult learners within its service area. The program is designed to enhance students' English language skills while simultaneously developing their knowledge and abilities necessary for community participation and pursuing further education and employment. LCCC has a contracted enrollment target of 108 students under this grant.
