What's Happening?
LEGO has launched a new computer science curriculum aimed at K-8 students, integrating LEGO bricks with interactive hardware to teach computational thinking. The curriculum is divided into three grade
bands and includes kits with motors, sensors, and connection cards. These kits are designed for groups of four students and come with 30 inquiry-based lessons that align with existing programs. The initiative emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration, allowing students to explore AI and machine learning concepts. The curriculum also includes a teacher portal for lesson planning and a student-facing coding experience with icon-based and word-based programming languages.
