The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) has shut down an illegal, unregistered fertilizer manufacturing facility in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. The facility, operating under the name 'Don Fertilizer Manufacturing,' was raided by local law enforcement
and various government agencies. Authorities confiscated 500 bags of illegally manufactured fertilizer, 21 granulator machines, and several delivery trucks, valued at approximately P900,000. The proprietor, Daniel Delos Santos, was unable to present the necessary permits and licenses, and the facility was found to be operating without FPA registration. The operation was praised by Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. for protecting farmers and consumers from counterfeit agricultural inputs.
