Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is gearing up for the 2026 Big Game Hunting Leftover License Day, scheduled for August 4. On this day, all remaining limited licenses for big-game hunting will be available for purchase. These licenses, which include
those for deer, elk, pronghorn, and bear, are leftover from the primary and secondary draws. Hunters can purchase these licenses online, in person, or by phone. The event is a significant opportunity for hunters to obtain licenses that were not claimed during earlier draws, offering a second chance to participate in the hunting season.
