milestone as GAC becomes the first manufacturer to achieve large-capacity solid-state battery production capability. The new batteries boast an energy density nearly double that of conventional lithium-ion batteries, potentially extending vehicle range to over 620 miles. The facility is currently undergoing small-batch testing and production, with plans for vehicle integration and testing by 2026. The solid-state batteries use solid electrolytes, which improve heat resistance and safety compared to conventional liquid electrolytes.
