McAllister Towing has introduced its latest tractor tug, the GERARD MCALLISTER, at the Port of New York. This American-made vessel, constructed at Washburn & Doughty, is the fifth in a series of six low-emission
tractor tugs, boasting an 84-metric-ton bollard pull. The GERARD MCALLISTER is equipped with 6,770 horsepower CAT engines, designed to manage the largest ships arriving on the U.S. East Coast. It joins the GRACE MCALLISTER, launched in 2024, as part of McAllister's flagship New York operation. The tug features eco-friendly engines and advanced Markey winches, positioning it among the most capable ship-docking tugs in the region.
