Cyprus has enhanced its defense capabilities by acquiring the Serbian-made Tamnava multiple rocket launchers (MRLs). This acquisition was showcased during the country's 65th independence anniversary parade on October 1. The Tamnava system, developed by Serbia's Yugoimport, features reusable pods for 122 mm unguided rockets, although it can also accommodate 262 mm munitions. The 122 mm rockets have a range of 40 kilometers, while the 262 mm can reach up to 70 kilometers. The system is fully automated, integrating advanced fire-control, inertial navigation, and meteorological sensors. The Cypriot version of the Tamnava differs slightly from the Serbian model, utilizing a MAN TGS 8x8 truck instead of the Serbian FAP truck.
