Germany has decided to expand its fleet of H145M light combat helicopters by acquiring an additional 20 units from Airbus. This decision increases the total number of helicopters ordered to 82, as part
of a contract initially signed in December 2023. The delivery of these helicopters began in November 2024, with the German Army set to receive 72 of the aircraft, while 10 will be allocated to the Luftwaffe’s special forces units.
