Advance voting has commenced in the Augusta area for the upcoming May 19 general primary and nonpartisan general election. To facilitate voter engagement, the Greater Augusta Black Chamber of Commerce and the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce are organizing
a joint candidate forum. This event will feature mayoral and commission candidates and is scheduled to take place at Augusta Technical College’s Jack B. Patrick Information Technology Center Auditorium. The forums are set for April 28 and 29, with different districts scheduled at specific times. Richmond County has made provisions for advance voting at multiple locations, including the Municipal Building and several community centers, with voting available on weekdays and Saturdays until May 15. Columbia County also offers advance voting at designated locations during similar timeframes.
