NY, as a child. He served in the U.S. Navy and later graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Business. Thompson worked at Eastman Kodak Company for 20 years before retiring early to become a school bus driver. His passion for firefighting was evident through his over 53 years of service with the Union Hill and Webster Fire Departments. Thompson was also a certified NYS Fire Police Officer and an avid collector of fire memorabilia. He was a charter member of the Webster Area Firemen’s Exempts and the Rochester Area SPAMFAA. Thompson is survived by his wife Joan, sons Nathan and Nicholas, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at a later date in New York, and donations in his memory can be made to pet rescue organizations.
