Square Robot has received NEC/CEC Class I Division 2 (C1D2) certification for its new high temperature inspection robot, the SR-3HT. This certification, issued by FM Approvals, confirms the robot's safety for use in hazardous locations. The SR-3HT is designed to inspect above-ground storage tanks with product storage temperatures ranging from -10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F). This development addresses the need for onstream robotic tank inspections at elevated temperatures, expanding Square Robot's previous operating range of 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). The SR-3HT employs both active and passive cooling technology, enhancing its operational capabilities.
