What's Happening?
OCP Green Energy, a subsidiary of the OCP Group, has announced the completion of the first phase of its green energy investment program. This phase includes the commissioning of solar power plants with a total capacity of 202 MWp across three sites in Morocco:
Benguerir, Foum Tizi, and Oulad Farès. The initiative is part of OCP Group's strategy to transition to renewable energy sources, aiming to meet all its industrial electricity needs from renewables by 2027 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. The solar farms are expected to significantly reduce the group's carbon footprint and provide low-cost electricity for industrial production.
