Conexon Connect, the internet service provider arm of fiber builder Conexon, has received a portion of a $9 million BEAD funding award from Louisiana. This funding will support the construction of broadband
infrastructure in six northern Louisiana parishes. The initiative is part of a broader effort to expand internet access across 20 parishes, aiming to connect approximately 60,000 homes and businesses. The project is supported by additional funding from the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund and the American Rescue Plan. Conexon plans to launch services in Concordia Parish and expand in Webster Parish by the second quarter of 2026.
