Milanka 'Maryann' Urosevic, a renowned engineer, passed away on February 18, 2026, at her home in Gurnee, Illinois. Born in Uzice, Serbia, she emigrated to Chicago in 1967 with her husband. Urosevic was recognized for her engineering contributions in both
Yugoslavia and Chicago. She also served as a playground supervisor at St. Hilary School, where she was an active member of the Mothers' Club. Urosevic is survived by her daughter, Anna Applegate. Funeral services are scheduled for February 20, 2026, at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Libertyville, Illinois.
