What's Happening?
Petrobras has announced a new gas discovery at the Copoazu-1 exploratory well in the offshore GUA-OFF-0 Block, located in deepwater Colombia. The well, situated approximately 36 km offshore, has revealed gas-bearing intervals through wireline logging
and fluid sampling. This discovery is part of Petrobras' strategy to expand its reserves through frontier exploration, in partnership with Ecopetrol S.A. The ongoing drilling operations began in November 2025, and further laboratory analysis will be conducted to assess the reservoir properties and volumes.
