What's Happening?
Halnaker Hill Natural Capital (HHNC) has partnered with Bidwells to initiate one of the UK's largest Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) schemes at Halnaker Hill Farm in Sussex. The project aims to restore 330 acres to its natural state, creating a diverse habitat
with hedgerows, grassland, ponds, woodland, and wildflower meadows. This initiative will provide over 850 biodiversity units for developers, corporates, and individuals, helping them meet Environment Act 2021 requirements and ESG targets. The farm, previously used for wheat farming, is now a green haven for wildlife, managed by Kingsbridge for commercial aspects.
