those who received methylprednisolone with those who did not. The study found that patients who received methylprednisolone had a significantly lower risk of opioid use at both 7 and 30 days post-surgery. The findings suggest that methylprednisolone, a potent anti-inflammatory agent, may reduce pain and decrease the need for opioid analgesia, potentially mitigating the risk of opioid use disorder.
