Johnston Community College (JCC) has received a $3.6 million grant from GoldenLEAF to support workforce training for Vulcan Elements, a manufacturer of rare-earth magnets. Vulcan Elements plans to build a manufacturing facility in Benson, creating approximately
1,000 jobs and investing $1 billion in the region. JCC will train new employees at its Advanced Manufacturing Training Facility, enhancing the local workforce pipeline and regional competitiveness.
