SLB and Ormat Technologies have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of integrated geothermal assets, including enhanced geothermal systems (EGS).
This collaboration seeks to expand geothermal energy solutions beyond traditional hydrothermal resources, providing clean and reliable baseload energy. The partnership will leverage SLB's expertise in subsurface, reservoir, and well-construction, alongside Ormat's experience in geothermal power-plant design and operations. A pilot EGS project at an existing Ormat facility is planned to demonstrate commercial-scale performance and validate broader market deployment.

The partnership between SLB and Ormat is significant as it addresses the growing demand for clean energy driven by factors such as artificial intelligence and global energy needs.
