What's Happening?
The Tau Air-shower Mountain-Based Observatory (TAMBO) is set to explore high-energy neutrinos using the natural landscape of the Andes Mountains. Unlike traditional observatories, TAMBO will utilize a deep valley to detect tau neutrinos, which are less
studied and can provide insights into cosmic accelerators and new physics. The observatory aims to overcome the challenge of atmospheric background noise by focusing on tau neutrinos, which can travel further through the Earth's crust. The project, involving 26 institutions across nine countries, seeks to advance our understanding of neutrino sources and fundamental physics.

TAMBO represents a significant advancement in neutrino astronomy, offering a cost-effective and innovative approach to studying high-energy neutrinos. What's Next?
