Amelia Lutz, a junior majoring in film and television, has been elected as the new president of the Student Government Association (SGA) at Columbia College. Lutz, who previously served as the executive vice president, ran unopposed in the election, which
concluded with 129 students participating. Alongside Lutz, other executive board officers were elected, and a new student representative to the Board of Trustees was selected. Lutz aims to enhance communication between the college administration and the student body, emphasizing transparency and student involvement in college affairs. She succeeds Jenna Davis, a senior fine arts major, who served as SGA president since 2024.
