Blood Cancer United, formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is set to launch its 2026 Big Climb season in March, starting in Seattle, Washington. This annual event, held in 12 cities across the United States from March to May, involves participants
scaling iconic buildings and stadiums to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support. The event kicks off with the Firefighter Stairclimb, where firefighters from around the world will climb over 1,300 steps in full gear at the Columbia Center. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the event, which has raised over $28 million since its inception in 1991. Blood Cancer United aims to improve the quality of life for blood cancer patients and their families through these fundraising efforts.
