What's Happening?
A Memphis police officer was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 240 East near Getwell Road. The incident occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. on a Saturday morning. The officer was driving an MPD vehicle when the accident happened. Emergency
responders arrived at the scene and transported the officer to a hospital, where they were treated for non-critical injuries. The eastbound exit ramp, which was temporarily closed following the crash, has since been reopened.
