What's Happening?
Volz Servos has introduced the DA 15-N.ISS brushless actuator, an advancement of the DA 15-N series, featuring the Internal Servo Saver (ISS) system. This system protects the actuator's gear set from radial
shock loads, making it ideal for UAV operations requiring high shock resistance. The actuator's brushless motor and contactless position sensing system ensure durability and resistance to vibration. It is housed in conductive aluminum to minimize electromagnetic interference and supports multiple interfaces, including PWM, RS-485, and CAN. The DA 15-N.ISS is fully programmable and offers optional configurations for extended travel and position feedback.
Why It's Important?
The DA 15-N.ISS actuator represents a significant advancement in UAV technology, particularly for applications where mechanical endurance and shock resistance are critical. This innovation could enhance the reliability and performance of UAVs in challenging environments, such as military or industrial settings. By offering customizable options and robust protection against mechanical stress, the actuator could lead to broader adoption in sectors that demand high-performance unmanned systems. This development may also drive further innovation in UAV design and functionality.
