Westmoore High School senior Valentin Garcia, a student with multiple leadership roles and academic aspirations, has set a new goal to page for U.S. Rep. Tom Cole. This ambition follows Garcia's recent experiences, including participating in Youth Leadership
Oklahoma (YLOK) and serving as a junior page at the Oklahoma State Capitol for Rep. Arturo Alonso-Sandoval. During his time as a junior page, Garcia met Governor Kevin Stitt, engaged in a mock legislative session where he presented and passed a mock Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) bill, and gained valuable insights into leadership. He learned the importance of being a 'quiet leader' and listening, rather than always being the first to speak up.
