Eko Health has announced the publication of the TRICORDER study in The Lancet, highlighting the effectiveness of AI-enabled stethoscopes in detecting cardiac diseases. Conducted by the Health Impact Lab at Imperial College London, the study involved over
200 NHS practices and demonstrated significant improvements in detecting heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease. The AI-assisted stethoscope exams increased detection rates by 2.3 times for heart failure, 3.5 times for atrial fibrillation, and 1.9 times for valvular heart disease compared to standard practices. This large-scale evaluation underscores the potential of AI technology to enhance early disease detection in real-world clinical settings.
