The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is set to expand its terminal by approximately 10,000 square feet, with construction expected to begin in September. The expansion aims to alleviate congestion at the Transportation Security Administration

The project, which has been approved by the airport board, will cost nearly $13.6 million, with funding primarily from the Federal Aviation Administration and the state Department of Transportation.
