The Prairie Land FAME program, in collaboration with ADM, Workforce Investment Solutions, and Richland Community College, is organizing the 2nd Annual Family Recruitment Night on February 10. The event
will take place at the National Sequestration Education Center on Richland Community College’s campus. It is designed for families and high school students in Macon County and nearby areas who are interested in joining the Prairie Land FAME program's second cohort starting in August 2026. This program aims to prepare the next generation of skilled manufacturing professionals by offering a combination of industry-driven education and hands-on experience. Participants can earn an associate degree from Richland Community College while gaining over 1,800 hours of on-the-job experience through an apprenticeship-style training. The program boasts a high success rate, with nearly 90% of graduates securing full-time positions with their sponsoring employers.
