When these efforts failed, he traveled to Israel in July 2025, where he conducted intelligence missions, including gathering information on Israeli public figures such as National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and former IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi. Perl was reportedly compensated with cryptocurrency for his activities.
