What's Happening?
Bonniebrook, the historic home of Rose O'Neill, will host a free open house on April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Located in Walnut Shade, Missouri, the site offers visitors a chance to tour the art museum and home of O'Neill, the creator of the Kewpie Doll.
The event will also feature the first Bluegrass Jam of the season, with performances by local musicians and a silent auction. Light refreshments will be available. The original Bonniebrook home, funded by O'Neill in the 1890s, was destroyed by fire in 1947 and later rebuilt by the Bonniebrook Historical Society in the 1990s.
