Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, has called for public participation in the digital self-enumeration phase of Census 2027, set to begin on May 17, 2026. The initiative allows residents to complete census forms online, with the portal opening
at 6:00 AM. This phase will be followed by door-to-door operations starting June 1, 2026. Dr. Minhas emphasized the importance of this exercise for national development and assured residents of the confidentiality and security of their data.
