Hyperfine, Inc., a health technology company, has been awarded a $3.7 million grant from the Gates Foundation to advance global brain health initiatives using its AI-powered portable MRI system, the Swoop®.
This funding will support the UNITY project, led by King's College London, which aims to improve neurodevelopment evaluation among infants and young children in underserved settings. The Swoop® system, the first FDA-cleared portable MRI for brain imaging, offers a scalable solution for assessing early brain development, providing real-time insights to clinicians.
