What's Happening?
The University of Haifa has launched the Contemporary Antisemitism Studies Association (CASA), an international academic association dedicated to the study of modern antisemitism. The launch took place during the 'Contemporary Antisemitism: Haifa 2026'
conference, attracting over 150 founding members. CASA aims to provide a global platform for scholars to collaborate on research across various disciplines. The association is a partnership between the University of Haifa, the London Center for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism, and Gratz College in Pennsylvania.
Why It's Important?
CASA's establishment addresses the growing need for comprehensive research on antisemitism, a pressing global issue. By fostering collaboration among international scholars, CASA aims to enhance understanding and develop strategies to combat antisemitism in various contexts. The initiative also seeks to influence public policy and education by making research findings accessible to stakeholders. This development is significant in promoting academic rigor and evidence-based approaches to addressing discrimination and prejudice.
