IHS Brazil and Major Operators Install Shared Tower to Enhance Connectivity in Combu

IHS Brazil, in collaboration with Brazil's leading mobile operators Claro, Vivo, and TIM, has installed a shared telecommunications tower on Ilha do Combu. This initiative aims to provide 4G and 5G coverage to the island, which is located near Belém and is home to approximately 600 families. The installation comes ahead of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30) in Belém. The tower's design minimizes environmental impact by reducing the need for multiple external cabinets and preserving native vegetation. This infrastructure will support local communities by enabling services such as digital education, telemedicine, and financial transactions, while also enhancing the island's appeal as a tourist destination.
