Oldendorff Carriers and Salzgitter Flachstahl have entered a long-term agreement to reduce carbon emissions in iron ore maritime transport. Starting January 2026, Oldendorff will transport iron ore for Salzgitter using fuel-efficient bulk carriers, aiming to cut CO₂e emissions by at least 20%. This collaboration is expected to reduce emissions by approximately 19,000 tonnes, equivalent to removing over 4,000 passenger cars from the road annually.
