Connecticut is observing Agriculture Week from March 15-21, 2026, to emphasize the importance of agriculture to the state's economy and communities. The event celebrates the contributions of over 5,000 farm businesses, which collectively add $4 billion
annually to the state's economy and provide employment for nearly 30,000 residents. The Connecticut Department of Agriculture, along with the Connecticut Ag Info Council, is organizing various events, including Ag Day at the Capitol on March 18, featuring nearly 50 agricultural organizations. The week also includes a Women in Agriculture panel on March 16, moderated by Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, and Maple Weekend on March 21-22, where visitors can engage with local maple producers.
