Access to Thrive, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, hosted a job fair at the Imperial Valley Mall in El Centro on July 11. The event, organized in collaboration with Options for All, featured
40 local businesses offering a variety of job opportunities. The fair was part of Access to Thrive's S.T.E.P. program, which focuses on skills, training, and entrepreneurial pathways. Executive Director Ashley Contreras organized the event to create an inclusive and diverse job fair. The fair attracted a large number of job seekers, including recent high school graduates and college students, who were eager to explore employment opportunities in industries ranging from hospitality to beauty. Businesses such as JCPenney, Innercare, and Inktensive Beauty were among those hiring, with some companies specifically seeking candidates for new positions.
Why It's Important?

By providing a platform for job seekers to connect with potential employers, the event supports economic growth and workforce development in the region. The collaboration between Access to Thrive, Options for All, and local businesses highlights the importance of partnerships in creating accessible job opportunities. This initiative not only benefits job seekers by offering them a chance to gain employment but also helps businesses find qualified candidates to fill their vacancies.
