What's Happening?
Residents of Charlevoix and Emmet counties facing financial, housing, employment, or health challenges are invited to attend Project Connect, a free event offering a variety of services and resources. Scheduled for March 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North
Central Michigan College’s Student and Community Resource Center, the event will feature participation from over 70 local nonprofit agencies and businesses. Attendees can access services such as free haircuts, hot snacks, and information about available resources. Dana Lorian, Project Connect co-chair, emphasized the event's goal to help individuals and families navigate the complex social services system and connect them with agencies that can offer assistance. Special provisions are made for veterans and their families, with a dedicated Veteran's Corner offering consultations with state and county representatives.
