BME Mining Canada has completed the construction of a local electronic detonator manufacturing plant, marking it as the second such facility in Canada. Located outside Nairn Centre, Ontario, the plant is part of a larger integrated production complex aimed at serving the mining, quarrying, and construction sectors. The facility will produce both Viperdet non-electric detonators and AXXIS electronic detonators. The development is expected to optimize mine-to-mill costs for customers and reduce supply chain risks. The strategic location in Canada’s mining region allows BME Mining Canada to leverage extensive rail and road networks, enhancing its supply chain capabilities.
