Torngat Metals, a developer of rare earth elements, has entered into a ten-year offtake agreement with Carester, a France-based company, to supply heavy rare earth elements. This agreement is part of a strategic
effort to establish a reliable supply chain between Canada and Europe. Under the terms of the deal, Torngat will provide Carester's subsidiary, Caremag, with partially separated heavy rare earths, including dysprosium and terbium. Caremag is currently constructing a rare earths recycling and separation facility in Lacq, France. This partnership aims to support Carester's production goals and optimize Torngat's separation processes. The collaboration, which began in 2023, includes shared production, training, construction, and commissioning efforts.
