What's Happening?
West Ham United has inaugurated 'The Foundry', a new Foundation headquarters located in Beckton, Newham, east London. This state-of-the-art community hub is designed to significantly expand the club's community outreach, impacting over 60,000 individuals
each year through 35 dedicated programs. These initiatives cover a wide range of areas including education, employment, physical and mental health, and social inclusion. The Foundry also features health and wellbeing spaces, an outdoor gym, and a kitchen and cafe, with profits directed towards providing free meals for those in need. The project is supported by a £1.5 million grant from the Premier League, FA, and Government’s Football Foundation, with additional funding for a 3G pitch. The opening ceremony was attended by West Ham United vice-chair Baroness Karren Brady and Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters.
